Working on Beach Cottage Chronicles brought me to these awe-inspiring coastal retreats on both the East and West Coasts. Retreats that I continue to chase any break in the calendar I get. 

One thing I kept noticing was this rhythm we seem to fall into with these places. You arrive a little out of sync, but by the time you leave, it feels like a room full of metronomes has slowly come into time with the beat of the place.
