Heritage by Design Mahjong is more than a game. It's a way of gathering, sharing stories, and staying connected to culture. Pong follows a monthly Hong Kong-style mahjong gathering in Monterey Park, California, created in the wake of the 2023 tragedy. The gathering continues today as a space for community, healing, and friendship.
This short film is part of Heritage by Design, a documentary series exploring how design tells the story of who we are and where we come from.
