Frogtown Los Angeles, CA A River’s Dream began with a photograph of a confluence, where water, stone, light, and surface seemed to fold into one another. Alongside it, I gathered field recordings from the same place, then stretched, processed, and reshaped those sounds into instruments and a recurring musical phrase. I’m drawn to the space between a still image and composition. After years of working with moving pictures, separating sound from motion opens another kind of place, somewhere between memory and observation.
